Willow has a rooting hormone called indolebutyric acid, which allows one to create beautiful outdoor living willow structures by simply placing the shoots into the ground and weaving them into shape as desired. The shoots can be placed in a variety of formations to create stunning landscape features such as arches, tunnels, domes, arbors, outdoor play areas and more. With a little care and pruning, these structures will continue to grow, and last for many years. In our coastal climate they can be planted from November to March.
